Welcome to Hamro Nihongo! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms," "Agreement") govern your access to and use of the Hamro Nihongo mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Hamro Nihongo ("we," "us," or "our"), accessible at https://hamronihongo.com.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using our mobile application or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Account Registration & Security

To access certain features of the app—such as tracking your Japanese study progress, saving vocabulary/kanji cards, and taking JLPT practice quizzes—you may need to create an account:

• You must provide accurate, complete, and updated account information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• Account sharing is strictly prohibited. You may not allow third parties to access the app using your paid account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately at support@hamronihongo.com if you suspect any unauthorized use or security breach of your account.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

All content and materials made available within Hamro Nihongo—including but not limited to Japanese lesson plans, audio recordings, visual mnemonics, kanji graphics, JLPT practice questions, UI designs, code, software, and branding—are the exclusive property of Hamro Nihongo and its licensors.

• Limited License: We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service strictly for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
• Restrictions: You shall not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any part of our educational content without explicit prior written authorization from us.

3. Subscriptions, Payments & Billing

Certain lessons, advanced study modules, and practice tests may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase:

• App Store Billing: In-app purchases and subscriptions made via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store are processed directly by those respective platforms and governed by their billing terms.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing period through your device's app store account settings.
• Pricing Changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing at any time. Any price changes will be communicated to you in advance.
• Refunds: All purchases are subject to our Refund Policy.

4. Prohibited User Conduct

When using Hamro Nihongo, you agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local or international regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, database, or network infrastructure.
• Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or tools to harvest data or lesson assets from the platform.
• Interfere with or disrupt the performance, security, or integrity of the mobile application.
• Post or transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content in community spaces, reviews, or support channels.

5. Service Availability & Modifications

We strive to keep Hamro Nihongo operational and bug-free. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access:

• We may periodically update, enhance, modify, or temporarily suspend parts of the Service for maintenance, feature additions, or security patches.
• We reserve the right to alter or discontinue educational content, features, or JLPT test modules at any time without prior liability.

6. Termination of Account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Hamro Nihongo immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse our educational resources. Upon termination, your right to access premium features and saved study data will immediately cease.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While our materials are crafted to assist Nepali students in learning Japanese and passing JLPT exams, we do not guarantee specific exam outcomes, language fluency speeds, or job placement results.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hamro Nihongo, its founders, team, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to, use of, or inability to use the Service or its contents.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nepal, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Nepal.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of Hamro Nihongo after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
